ECWSD Eastland County Water Supply District

25 May 2023 For several years the ECWSD has expected or requested that the city of Ranger send a representative to the ECWSD meetings. It was understood or expected that it would be the city manager and/or the public works director.   I’ve never quite understood this when the city has elected 4 representatives. Would it not be more appropriate to have one of the 4 representatives, deliver to the constituents the status of all things water district? With costs seemingly increasing, draught continuing and several failures at the intake tower, the citizens and the commission would be better prepared if the representatives deliver to the citizens and commission on a monthly basis in one of the public council meetings. Further I’d request that the Ranger commissioners all attend or at a minimum rotate each month. Let’s hear from our representatives.
